Sporting injuries

Sporting injuries are sustained during competitive activities or whilst exercising. They can be the result of sudden trauma or a persistent overload of one particular body part. You don’t have to be an elite athlete to sustain a sporting injury; it doesn’t matter what the sport is or what level you are at.  Physiotherapy will  get you back to your sporting best as quickly as tissue healing allows – remember, protecting the repair process in the early stages can knock weeks off the end!  Don’t work through it, get some advice.

Combined approaches to athletic rehabilitation can include referral to Sports Nutritionists, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Sports Psychologists, Sports GPs and the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
